Every term an operator runs into across sourcing, testing, labeling and payment underwriting, defined plainly and without spin.

Research use only [RUO]Product sold for laboratory and research purposes only, not for human or veterinary use.Certificate of analysis [COA]The third-party laboratory report for one specific production lot, establishing identity and purity.LC-MSLiquid chromatography mass spectrometry, the analytical method used to establish compound identity.HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography, the method most commonly used to measure purity percentage.White labelA supplier's existing product sold under the buyer's brand, with no formulation change.Private labelA product customized for one buyer and sold under that buyer's brand.MOQMinimum order quantity: the smallest order a supplier will accept for a given product or lane.High-risk merchant accountA manually underwritten card-processing account for a category acquirers consider elevated risk.Rolling reserveA percentage of settled card volume held back by the acquirer for a fixed period against future disputes.MATCH listMastercard's terminated merchant file. Listing on it makes future underwriting substantially harder.BRAMMastercard's Business Risk Assessment and Mitigation program, governing prohibited and restricted merchant activity.Merchant category code [MCC]The four-digit code identifying what a merchant sells. Miscoding it is a network violation.Transaction launderingProcessing one business's card volume through another business's merchant account. Prohibited and, in the US, potentially criminal.Payment facilitator [PayFac]A registered entity that onboards sub-merchants under its own master account and assumes liability for them.ISOIndependent sales organization: a registered reseller of acquiring services that places merchants with banks.Chargeback ratioDisputes as a percentage of transactions. The number acquirers watch most closely.LyophilizedFreeze-dried. The standard form research peptides are supplied in for stability.ReconstitutionAdding a diluent to lyophilized material to return it to solution.Bacteriostatic waterSterile water containing a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth, allowing multi-draw use.Cold chainTemperature-controlled handling from production through delivery. Needed less often than assumed.Third-party fulfillment [3PL]An outside provider storing your inventory and shipping orders on your behalf.Chain of custodyThe documented record of who held material, when, and under what conditions.503A pharmacyA traditional compounding pharmacy preparing patient-specific medications against a prescription.503B outsourcing facilityA registered outsourcing facility compounding in batches without patient-specific prescriptions.
